This Page is dedicated to informing people on the overall Impact of Bad Boys Ride or Die. We are providing information, credible sources, and personal expeirances. With the guidance to show why this is the best film of the series. Our team is committed to showing the impact and honoring the Bad Boys series.

Action Packed Scenes

Bad Boys Ride or Die had the most action-packed scenes of the entire series. This movie shows a different side of the entire series, working in many different characters to create an entire film full of thrilling and exciting scenes. In previous Bad Boys films, they tend to focus on just the two main characters while leaving out a lot of side characters, resulting in many dull moments when speaking on other characters in the films. Sussanah Bryman in her article  “Bad Boys 4’ crews spark buzz while filming on A1A in Fort Lauderdale,” supports my claim by speaking on the filming of the action packed scenes “One Instagram post shows stunt doubles speeding around town in a black Porsche, squealing around corners and snaking through multiple lanes before taking off on a ramp to Interstate 95.” This helps support my claim because it speaks on the action-packed scenes and how they were filmed in Florida. As highlighted before, although this scene Bryman is speaking on is focusing on the main characters, the movie tends to highlight many of the former background characters, such as Actor Dennis Greene. Dennis Greene who has been in all of the Bad Boys films but has never gotten in on much of the main action. Finally makes a significant impact on the storyline of the Bad Boys films. Dennis Greene, who plays Reggie, the Husband of Marcus Burnett’s daughter, has to protect Marcus’s family in their own home. Reggie pushes Marcus' wife and daughter into the closet as he is attacked by 15 of McGrath’s men. He then proceeded to grab a pistol from the safe and fight off all 15 of the men while dodging bullets, smoke grenades, and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. This scene, while short, is just a small preview of what’s to come and shows how Reggie was able to earn the respect of his father-in-law and keep his family safe. In the end, this scene shows how the directors of Bad Boys Ride or Die were able to include much more action by incorporating all aspects of the characters.

First Person Filming

Bad Boys Ride or Die use of first-person filming greatly impacted why this was the best movie of the series. In the film, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have a scene where they use first-person filming, This is the first time in any action movie that they have been able to capture first-person angles filmed by the actors themselves. In this article, Jaelani Turner-Williams speaks on how Will Smith and Martin Lawerence filmed a first person shooter scene with a very heavy duty 360 degree camera rig strapped to his chest, he also speaks on how this scene was so big for movie development as a whole being that this is the first time we have ever seen something like this in the movie industry. Turner-Williams also includes, "I would say that's probably the biggest difference between Bad Boys 1 and 2 and Bad Boys is we're very careful." This proves my claim because of how hard a scene like this is to execute and that it has never been done before, creating a different and exciting element to Bad Boys Ride or Die. In this scene, Will Smith’s character, Mike Lowery, is chasing after his family, trying to save them. While trying to rescue them, the camera angle changes to a first-person point of view, and he travels through Gatorland to shoot the bad guys. In this scene, we also get a close-up of Martin Lawrence’s character Marcus Burnett. When Marcus runs out of bullets, he screams out for the help of his partner in crime, Mike Lowery. Mike Lowery tosses him his gun while they transfer to the first-person point of view of Marcus Burnett. Although this part is short, we see him take down two bad guys before switching back over to Mike Lowery to finish the scene off and finish off the bad guys. This camera angle captures all of the close-up action and helps portray the scene in a way we have never seen before. In the end this shows how first-person filming was such a huge part of Bad Boys Ride or Die.

Best Story Lines

Bad Boys Ride or Die had the best storyline of the entire series. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are best friends and partners throughout the entire storyline ,but this movie is the first time we get to see that partnership threatened. Will Smith's character, Mike Lowery has started to talk about what we all knew was soon to come but were not prepared to accept retirement. While Martin Lawrence's character Marcus Burnett begins to have health issues, this film starts with a lot of doubt about the future of the Cop,s but when their Captain is killed, the police force starts to slander his name, which is something the two cops were not going to stand for. Tessa Smith backs the storyline of Bad Boys Ride or Die by speaking on the impact that this film's storyline had on the series and how it made this the best movie yet. Smith says, “Fans of the Bad Boys franchise are sure to love Bad Boys: Ride or Die.” She continues to back this statement with all the facts about the storyline in this incredible movie. She includes Instagram comments and fan mail, speaking on how people are so excited about Bad Boys Ride or Die. In Bad Boys Ride of Die we get to find out more and more about characters that we have known throughout the whole story but never completely understood. For example, Captain Howard who I touched on above, hasn’t been a huge part of the Bad Boys story up until this point. Howard passes away early and is framed. In the movie, Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett are sent on a mission to uncover his story and prove that he was not a dirty cop. We hear about his entire time in the police force and how he believes there is more to the story that the Bad Boys do not know. He then leads the Bad Boy’s through a series of clues around the downtown Miami area to try to help crack down on the real dirty cops in the police force. This part of the movie plays a huge impact on the story line because we have not gotten to see his side of the story which really ties the entire series together and speaks on things that we have not seen since early on in the Bad Boys franchise. In the end these little details, work of back ground characters, and secret mission tie together to support my claim that Bad Boys Ride or Die had the best story line of the entire series.
